(Alexander) Gavin Henderson ( 1902-1977) 2nd Baron Faringdon
As a noted pacifist he was in the London and Faringdon Fire Service during the Second World War. He distinguished himself at Bristol when the city was blitzed. His uniform indicates he was a Column Officer in the Fire Service.Local fireman called him 'Lordy'.
