Public transport and bus stop is a five minute walk from the library and there is FREE parking for 2 hours in Gloucester Street car park, next to library.

Free wifi plus 2 internet connected PCs available for public use.From these you can access a wide variety of information. Some of these are available to members from their home computers too.

Library services ( you need library card number and pin)
Renew your book online 
  • telephone the 24-hours renewal hotline 0845 1202811 with your borrower number and library PIN
  • contact Faringdon library by telephone, post, email or in person with your borrower number
You can renew books up to three times if no-one else has reserved them. If you still require the book after that, you must bring it to the library to be re-issued. Audio-visual items cannot be renewed and may be subject to additional daily charges if returned after their due date.

Reserve a library book

Borrow ebooks and audio books
You can borrow up to three items for 7, 14 or 21 days using your library card number and PIN. If a title is on loan you can add it to your wish list and be notified when it is available. 
Loans automatically expire at the end of the loan period so there are no fines! 
You will need to download free software to your computer or device – full help and information is available in the 'Help' section of the eBook and eAudio Library.

Borrow DVDs, CDs and language packs 
There are no charges for:
  • children under five years old or in public care
  • foster carers
  • childminders
  • people with disabilities
  • people who are housebound
  • mobile library users.

Reference Library
Reference Online is available 24 hours a day, all year round and contains information on a variety of subjects from encyclopaedias to music, biography, news and art.
All you need to do is enter your library membership number - the nine-digit number without spaces - after clicking on each title. 

Oxford Music Library
The Oxford Music Library holds large collections of printed music, CDs, music books and music DVDs.
We can help you with any music enquiry or you can contact Answers Direct, Oxfordshire Libraries’ countywide information service.
A digital piano is available free of charge for practice purposes.
