Markets in Faringdon

Markets in Faringdon
Faringdon is a historic market town, and has regular markets throughout the year.
There's a weekly market on Tuesdays in the Market Square, and an indoor Country Market every Friday in the Corn Exchange.
A monthly Farmers' Market is held on the first Tuesday,.

Farmers' Market. First Tuesday

The Farmers' Market takes place on the first Tuesday of each month in Faringdon Market Place to complement the weekly market on those days.

Faringdon is buzzing at the market which is proving to be a real pull for people from the town and its surrounding villages. We have enjoyed a turnout of 10-12 stalls on average throughout its period of existence. High quality produce on sale includes various meats, i.e. beef, venison, mutton and pork, soft fruit, fudge, cheeses, trout, bread and cakes, plants, cut flowers, and dog treats.

If you would like a stall for your farm or home produced goods, please contact Mrs Rosemary Packer on 01367 710445 (tel/fax), or Mike Heathcoat on 01367 241468

Saturday Markets. –The Third Saturday of Every Month- until 2018
Faringdon holds a Saturday Market on the third Saturday of each month. A great variety of goods are on offer at these markets. A regular fruit and vegetable stall sells locally grown produce at very competitive prices, and there is fresh bread, cakes, gifts, cards and prints, and children’s clothes and jewellery.
Many of our markets are themed to the season and different events going on in the town.
May sees the Blackbird Day Market, when market goers can sample some blackbird pie and Lord Berners’ birthday is marked in September.
Faringdon Apple Day is always popular in the Autumn, and we also have a Charity Market, a Young Traders Market and Christmas Markets in the Winter

Music and other entertainment often accompany the market giving the town centre a vibrant feel early on a Saturday morning.
