Faringdon

The Faringdon Community Bus operates the Number 61 timetabled service in and around Faringdon every weekday morning except Bank Holidays. The service is available to the whole community and passengers with concessionary bus passes travel free after 09:00am.

A programme of trips is also run to local towns and places of interest and to events within easy travelling distance of Faringdon. Details are available from the Faringdon Community and Tourist Information Centre, where tickets for trips can be purchased.

The Faringdon Community Bus is also available for private hire. Please contact FCB via the web site, www.faringdoncommunitybus.co.uk/contact.htm.

The bus has 16 passenger seats but is not fully accessible to wheelchair users. Folding wheelchairs can be accommodated but all passengers must be able to ascend steps to enter the bus.

Octabus Dial a Ride

This door-to-door pre-bookable dial-a-ride service operates throughout the Vale of White Horse, West Oxfordshire and Oxford City districts of Oxfordshire.

Mondays to Fridays 9am to 5pm.
To use the service you have to be a scheme member (which costs a one-off fee of £5) and be unable to use or find it difficult to use conventional public transport because of a disability or mobility impairment.
The service is operated on behalf of the Octabus Consortium by a company called Walters Limousines.
