Willes Close

Tucker Park

Marlborough Gardens

Location

Good potential because of its size and current usage. Currently is disused and overgrown

Offers oppportunities for a skate park with possibility of future expansion. Currently well used by footballers

Good potential from a user perspective, with good positioning close to a main housing estate.

Access

Via an alleyway which does raise some security issues for users. Consideration would need to be given to potential bullying and safety issues

Consideration needs to be given to how users gain access as mud could be carried onto the skatepark, this could become dangerous

Access is easy for users and parents dropping off

Security/visibility

Security, visibility and litter could be a problem. CCTV is recommended as there is lack of casual supervision, other users and passers by. Removal of hedges would increase visibility

Security, visibility and litter could be a problem and would need to be looked at in more depth. We do not believe these problems restrict the potential of the facility.

No comments made, but rating given as excellent

Noise

Extra noise to nearby housing needs to be overcome

Little background noise currently, except when the other facilities are in use

Likely to be some issues from local residents(noise/location), which will need to be addressed as housing is in close proximity of site
