The market takes place on the first Tuesday of each month in Faringdon Market Place to complement the weekly market on those days. Stalls are positioned around the Old Town Hall, at the front of the Bell Hotel and in the archway to the Old Crown Coaching Inn.
Faringdon is buzzing with people on each month’s occasion and the Market is proving to be a real pull for people from the town and its surrounding villages.
We have enjoyed a turnout of 10-12 stalls on average throughout its period of existence. High quality produce on sale includes various meats, i.e. beef, lamb and pork, vegetables and fruit, English wine, plants, herbs, grasses, cheeses, trout, bread and cakes, and crafts such as hats and bags.
The Market was filmed for the TV programme “Heart of the Country” in August 2004.
